Kriya Sharir combines the Ayurvedic concepts of dosha, dhatu, mala and agni with modern physiology, and many students find it hard to connect the two. This two-volume Hindi textbook by Dr. Babita Sharma and Dr. A.P.S. Chauhan is written to cover the Physiology (Kriya Sharir) syllabus given in the NCISM curriculum for BAMS first professional, and follows its competency-based approach.
At around 828 pages it is a full textbook, not a guide. It suits students who study in Hindi and want one book for both the Ayurvedic and the modern parts of the paper.
Before buying: Vol. 1 is also sold on its own as an “NCISM Ed.”, so make sure both volumes you get are from the NCISM edition.
